When Grant Goldman went to work last week, he expected it to be just another day at the radio station. He went in as usual, preparing for singer Jasmine Rae to come on-air to promote her latest album, Look It Up.

To his surprise, she came in with CMA Board Member Rob Potts, as the pair presented him with the CMA International Broadcaster Award.

"I am truly surprised and thrilled to receive this Award," says Goldman. "It's a real boost for me to realize the industry DOES recognize what I'm trying to achieve and I'm now even more motivated! Thank you CMA Board!"

Goldman has been in the radio business for 30 years, and has always been an advocate for Country Music. His morning show 2SM on AM radio is syndicated to 33 different stations on the Super Radio Network. He frequently invited Country Music artists on to his show for performances and on-air interviews. Typically, 20-percent of the music played on Goldman’s show is Country Music, even though he plays music across all genres.

The CMA International Broadcaster Award recognizes outstanding achievement by radio broadcasters outside the United States who have made important contributions toward the development of Country Music in their country.
