Audie Blaylock and Redline Are New Rural Rhythm Records Artists

 Audie Blaylock and his band Redline (featuring Patrick McAvinue, Evan Ward, Matt Wallace and Jason Johnson) are the newest artists with Rural Rhythm Records. Their upcoming album, which has yet to be titled, should begin making headway in early 2009. Their current single, “Lonesome Weary Heart,” has been climbing the Bluegrass charts, currently at No. 25 on the Bluegrass Unlimited October chart and on the Bluegrass Junction Top 30. The single has also been on the XM Satellite chart for August. Blaylock and his band are known for their strong live performances, vocal abilities and musical prowess. They hold a great amount of respect for traditional bluegrass music. Stan Zdonik of the Joe Val Festival said, “When it comes to hard-driving traditional bluegrass, Audie and his band can really deliver the goods. Their standing ovation at the Joe Val Festival testifies to that.”Blaylock is known for his innovative take on the sounds of traditional bluegrass. His playing abilities and vocal talent are big contributing factors to his success thus far. “No holds barred, take no prisoners, hard driving bluegrass, just the way I like it,” said Terry Herd, 4-time recipient of the IBMA Broadcaster of the Year. Blaylock is no stranger to the International Bluegrass Music Association awards and honors himself.
