Ashton Shepherd Releases First Single from New Album

Ashton Shepherd, the country traditionalist who’s earned comparisons to icon Loretta Lynn, released her new single Tuesday.
 
“Look It Up” is the first single from Shepherd’s forthcoming sophomore release, the follow-up to her critically acclaimed debut Sounds So Good.
 
“Everybody in the studio just erupted when they first heard ‘Look it Up,’” said Shepherd. “The band members especially were like, ‘What a great song!’ It turned out to be one of the most fun songs I’ve ever recorded. I’m really excited about it. It’s been very fun and surprising all along to watch people’s reaction to it.”
 
The track is available for purchase at all digital retailers, and the new album is due out late spring.
