ASCAP's "I Create Music" EXPO Makes Preparations for 2009

The American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP) is preparing for their fourth annual ASCAP “I Create Music” EXPO in Los Angeles scheduled for next spring. The top songwriters, composers, producers and industry professions will attend, sharing their expertise and knowledge on topics important to today’s music makers.The event will take place at the Renaissance Hollywood Hotel on April 23-25, 2009.ASCAP’s “I Create Music” EXPO is the only conference of its kind, geared toward those who create music. Covering all genres, the EXPO will include panels, workshops, master classes, keynotes, One-on-One sessions, song critiquing, networking events, product displays, the newest technology, demonstrations, performances and more.Marilyn Bergman, ASCAP President and Chairman said, "At the heart of the EXPO is a true spirit of community of the most successful songwriters, composers and industry experts and those just starting out. In a survey of members and nonmembers who attended the2008 EXPO, 93 percent marked that the event was Excellent or Good and 93 percent rated that the event met or exceeded expectations.The 2009 ASCAP “I Create Music” EXPO performers and panelists will be announced in coming months.
