American Idol, Nintendo Land Carrie Underwood

5/20/2008 Patricia Montesinos, Mac McKinnon Country Music star Carrie Underwood is a hot commodity these days, and American Idol and Nintendo are capitalizing on the heat. The Country Music superstar is scheduled to perform on the American Idol season seven finale May 27. Nintendo is using the Carrie Underwood's success and pretty face in a series of advertisements for the re-launch of their Metallic Rose colored Nintendo handheld that debuted May 19.  Accompanying the ACM Award winner in the ads will be Ugly Betty star and Emmy Award-winning actress, America Ferrera.  Underwood has gotten off to a sizzling start in 2008.  She took home top honors Sunday night at the ACM Awards, winning Top Female Vocalist, and is the newest member of The Grand Ole Opry.  Her latest single, “Last Name”, is currently in the Top 10 on the Country Music charts.
