Americana Music Festival Heads to Ryman

The historic Ryman Auditorium will host the 9th annual Americana Honors & Awards Show on Thursday, Sept. 9.
 
More than 2,000 artists, music lovers and industry executives will enjoy performances by Emmylou Harris, Avett Brothers, Rodney Crowell, Wanda Jackson, Rosanne Cash, Patty Griffin, Sam Bush, Ray Wylie Hubbard, Ryan Bingham, Corb Lund, Carolina Chocolate Drops, Joe Pug and Will Kimbrough.
 
Jim Lauderdale will remain as Master of Ceremonies and be joined again by Buddy Miller and his house band.
 
The Honors and Awards show is presented by the Gibson Foundation and will be the capstone event of the 11th annual Americana Music Festival & Conference, taking place Sept. 8-11 at the Downtown Nashville Sheraton Hotel. Many unforgettable moments in Country Music history have happened on stage at the Americana Honors and Awards show, including Johnny Cash and June Carter Cash’s last live performance together and breath-taking exhibitions by John Fogerty, Robert Plant, Allison Krauss and Kris Kristofferson.
 
A live, international broadcast of the show can be heard via Sirius/XM Radio, BBC2 and Voice of America.
