Alan Jackson To Be Inducted Into Houston Rodeo Hall of Fame

Alan Jackson will be inducted into the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo show’s Star Trail of Fame Friday, March 18, at 3:30 p.m.
 
He will the the fifth ever entertainer in history to play in front of a crowd of 1 million at RodeoHouston.
This will be Alan’s 19th performance the rodeo. His first was in 1992.
 
“I’ve played for the rodeo fans in Houston a lot over the years, and I always look forward to it. I know there’s always a whole lot of people out there when I walk out on that stage, but I never imagined they’d added up to a million!” Jackson said. “I always appreciate the fans coming out to see me, and I want to thank the Rodeo for having me back again this year.”
 
After being inducted, Alan will join the ranks of Brooks & Dunn, Reba McEntire, Charley Pride and George Straight who are all Houston Livestock stars. Elvis Presley and Gene Autry, the show's first big-name entertainer, are also in the Show's Star Trail of Fame.
