Alan Jackson Celebrates 'Feight Train' Release

Tuesday kicked off a celebration for country mega-star Alan Jackson. Not only has his new album, Freight Train, launched, but he started the day off with a performance on NBC's Today Show and will end with a guest appearence on CBS' Late Show with David Letterman.

According to a news release, before he leaves the city, Jackson will also tape an interview and performance for Private Sessions with Lynn Hoffman on A&E. The performance will include his new songs from Frieght Train. The hour-long episode will air Sunday, April 11, at 9 a.m. ET.

The celebration will continue after his trip to NYC. The Georgia native will fly out to Los Angeles on April 14 to stop by NBC's Tonight Show with Jay Leno and then swing by the Ellen DeGeneres Show on April 16.
 
In addition to his talk show appearences, the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce will present Jackson with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame April 16. Open to the public, the superstar's ceremony will take place at 6801 Hollywood Blvd. at 11:30 a.m. The location of Jackson's star is near notable stars such as John Travolta, The Doors and Judy Holiday.
