Alan Jackson’s New Video to Star Everyday Working People

The video for Alan Jackson’s new single, “Hard Hat and a Hammer,” will focus on the men and women of America's workforce. Part of his latest album, Freight Train, “Hard Hat and Hammer” offers recognition to those at work in everything from mines to fire stations. 

 

Regardless of his popularity, Jackson pays tribute to his working class roots through his music, and the new single is no exception. 

 

Driven by award-winning director Theresa Wingert, the video took the focus of Jackson’s song in a very literal way. Wingert filmed real men and women performing their jobs at various locations in the Southeast. 

 

Recently, Jackson was voted in the top five of Billboard magazine’s Top 25 Artists of the Last 25 Years, with “Freight Train” being his 18th career album. 

 

The video is scheduled to premiere on Friday, June 18, on CMT’s Big New Music Weekend.
