TV's Gone Country This Week

1/22/2008 Stephen L. Betts CMT's new reality series, Gone Country, with host Big & Rich's John Rich, features several decidedly non-country musicians trying their hand at country music. Some of the show’s participants are embarking on a media blitz this week in anticipation of the premiere episode. John joins Carnie Wilson of Wilson Phillips in an appearance on NBC's Today on Wednesday (1/23) and later in the day the two will be joined by Twisted Sister's Dee Snider to ring the closing bell at the New York Stock Exchange, an event that will be broadcast on CNBC, CNN, Fox News, and at the stock exchange's home page. John is also set for appearances on Hannity & Colmes and Imus in the Morning, and on Friday will be featured on Fox & Friends, where he’ll be joined by R&B singer Bobby Brown. Gone Country premieres on CMT Friday at 8 p.m. (ET).
