Taylor Swift To Perform With Def Leppard

Fans of Taylor Swift should get ready to watch her rock out with music legends Def Leppard on CMT Crossroads in November. The show will premiere November 8 on CMT. Crossroads has paired some of the biggest Country Music stars with those popular in mainstream music as well. Artists like Maroon 5 and Sara Evans, Bon Jovi and Sugarland, Kelly Clarkson and Reba McEntire, and Joss Stone and LeAnn Rimes have appeared on the show in the past.The show with Swift and Def Leppard will tape during an invitation-only show in October. Both artists are riding high on increased album sales and singles climbing up the charts. Def Leppard’s recent single with Tim McGraw “Nine Lives” reached the top of the classic rock chart. Their new single “C’mon C’mon” is the second release from their newest album Songs From The Sparkle Lounge.Taylor Swift has had a great deal of success already in 2008 including winning the Top New Female Vocalist at the Academy of Country Music Awards along with multiple singles on the charts. She’s expressed a great deal of excitement in regards to the upcoming performance with Def Leppard.“Every time I’ve seen Crossroads on CMT I’ve always thought, ‘If I ever get to do one of those, it has to be with Def Leppard!’ so this is really a dream come true for me,” said Swift in a press release. “I have been screaming the words to Def Leppard songs for years…so it’s amazing that I’m going to get to share a stage with them this year!”
