Country singer Melissa Jones has returned to Ft. Bragg, NC, this week to make a tandem jump with the US Army’s elite precision parachute team, The Golden Knights.    Melissa, who recently completed a month long military tour of over twenty bases, ships and hospitals across the United States, met The Golden Knights when she performed at Fort Bragg in July and the Precision Parachute team invited her back for an exhibition jump.  “I’m nervous, of course, but I’m also excited,” said Melissa Jones. “I’m so honored to be given this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity -- how could I possibly turn it down?”  The third single from Melissa’s self-titled debut album, How Far Would You Go, will impact country radio in September.  Her recently released album, Melissa Jones, was produced by Nelson Larkin and Steve Kondor. Melissa, whose brother SGT Jake Taylor recently returned from the war in Iraq, is devoted to supporting our troops.  A special military tribute CD titled Red, White And Blue Night In Georgia, containing ten songs and several videos, was released through Eurpac and AAFES to military exchanges around the country.  A portion of the proceeds from the sale of these CDs are dedicated to the organization, Hope for the Warriors™.   Hopefully, Melissa won’t be hoarse from all that screaming -- she’s performing in Nashville at the Wildhorse Saloon his Friday.
