Johnny Cash Folsom Prison Documentary Released

The most-well known live recording in music occurred on January 13, 1968, when Johnny Cash recorded At Folsom Prison, one of the greatest successes of his career. To celebrate the anniversary of the Folsom Prison recording, Columbia/Legacy is releasing Johnny Cash at Folsom Prison: Legacy Edition, a documentary film with footage from the prison with unpublished images of The Man in Black and interviews with Merle Haggard, Roseanne Cash, Marty Stuart, and former Folsom Prison inmates who attended the concert. The two-disc, single DVD boxset hits stores and online Oct. 14.
