Johnny Cash Documentary to Air Next Week

The Man in Black is being honored next week on the Bio Channel, with a two-hour documentary special Johnny Cash's America, premiering on Thursday, October 23 at 9:00 p.m. EST.Narrated by Oscar-winning actor, Chris Cooper, the documentary will take viewers through rare materials, including never-before-seen footage and photos, intimate interviews with Cash's family, children, and several life-long friends, and 27 of Johnny Cash's recordings.In addition to the Cash family, scheduled interviews include Merle Haggard, Loretta Lynn, Al Gore, Sheryl Crow, Snoop Dogg and more.The Johnny Cash special features 27 of Cash's songs as well as unreleased and never-before-seen footage like the 1965 "Johnny Cash Show" that features a solo performance from Cash of "Five Feet High and Rising." Also included are outtakes from the recording studio with Cash and Bob Dylan and rehearsal footage for a Highwaymen recording session.
