John Rich Rocks The Republicans

One of Country Music’s biggest stars is set to rock the stage at the Republican National Convention Wednesday night with his song “Raisin’ McCain.” John Rich, part of the duo Big & Rich, is a big supporter of the Republican Party’s nominee for President. In recent years, Country Stars have begun to fall on all sides of the political spectrum.  Rich was just excited to be invited to the party on Wednesday. According to MSNBC, he mused at the fact that they don’t normally allow “redneck country singers” into “the real inner circle.” Rich also said he still finds it hard to believe he was invited to perform. Along with Rich, Governor Mitt Romney is also set to speak. The presumptive nominee for vice president, Governor Sarah Palin, is also scheduled to speak tonight. Rich has also appeared at several other events to support McCain, including Rock the Vote and LIFETIME’s RightNOW! program. Both programs are involved in getting more women out to vote in November.
