John Michael Montgomery John Michael Montgomery has reached tenure with the release of Time Flies, his tenth studio album, the first from his new label Stringtown Records. The album finds its way to stores Oct. 14, but his current single, "If You Ever Went Away," has hit the video networks and can be viewed online with behind-the-scenes photos. Montgomery calls the album a retrospective look at his career. "I took themes from different eras of my career along with sounds that influenced me over my life to create this album. There are the serious songs, some with tongue-in-cheek humor, a little romance as well as some that reflect a philosophical side. You'll hear influences from the Eagles to Lionel Richie to traditional Country." The Country Music singer collects songwriting credits on the album as wee, co-writing "Brothers Till the End."  Fans can get even more personal with their favorite star by tuning in to GAC in October for episodes of "GAC Nights," "The Collection," "Master Series," and "On the Streets," all featuring Montgomery, or checking out the Nov. 3 issue of Country Weekly with an exclusive JMM interview. Presale for the album on Montgomery's Web site begins Sept. 1. Fans purchasing albums in September and October will be entered into a contest for an autographed JMM guitar, a photo album filled with performance photos, a pair of Dan Post Boots and a Wrangler gift certificate for a free pair of jeans.
