For the last five years, waiting has seemed to be the name of the game for Jimmy Wayne. After releasing his debut album in 2003, he had to wait until now before releasing his sophomore project, Do You Believe Me Now, set to hit shelves next Tuesday. But, he hasn't let the disappointment get him down; Wayne believes the waiting allowed him to create a better album. "I really do believe in divine timing," he told GAC. "Looking back, if this album had come out soon after my first album in 2003, there are so many songs that would not have been written and so many experiences would not have been had. If I had not gone through the waiting and the trials that I went through in the past few years, songs like ‘Where You’re Going’ and ‘Kerosene Kid’ would not have been written. I did a lot of reflection on my past and where I am now during the downtime, and all of that is reflected on this album." The first single off Wayne's new album, also titled "Do You Believe Me Now," is in the top 10 on Country Music charts. The project also includes vocal appearances by Patty Loveless and John Oates of Hall & Oates. Wayne's self-titled debut album peaked in the top 10 and had four singles, each of which Wayne co-wrote: "I Love You This Much," "Paper Angels," "Stay Gone" and "You Are."
