Jessica-SimpsonJessica Simpson's first Country single, "Come On Over," has been chosen as the featured track for all promotion spots running in advance of the TV special, CMA Music Festival: Country's Night to Rock. Promotion spots will begin airing on ABC Aug. 18 until Sept. 8, when the TV special is scheduled to air. 2008 marked the first year Simpson appeared at CMA Music Festival to sign autographs and watch nightly concerts, making the use of her single in advertisements special to the singer. “I’ve gone back to my roots and come on over to Country Music,” she said. “I just couldn’t be more thrilled for ‘Come On Over’ to be a part of this amazing night of Country Music.” CMA Music Festival: Country's Night to Rock was filmed during the 2008 CMA Music Festival in Nashville in June and will air on ABC on Sept. 8 from 9-11 p.m. EST. It will be hosted by Country sensations Taylor Swift, Kellie Pickler and Julieanne Hough and will feature performances by Trace Adkins, Rodney Atkins, Bucky Covington, Billy Ray Cyrus, Faith Hill, Hough, Alan Jackson, Jewel, Miranda Lambert, Pickler, Rascal Flatts, Sugarland, Swift, Josh Turner, Carrie Underwood, Keith Urban, Gretchen Wilson and Dwight Yoakam. This is the fourth consecutive year ABC will broadcast the special. Simpson will release her debut Country album, Do You Know, which includes "Come On Over," on Sept. 9 on Epic/Columbia Nashville. She will also be on the cover of Nashville Lifestyles - The Hot List Issue this month and the cover of Elle Magazine in October. Visit jessicasimpson.com for more information on the singer.
