Diehard Cash fans will be able watch footage that hasn’t been viewed in 30 years. The ’78 and ’79 specials, which will be released as single DVDs, are particularly interesting. In 1978, the show moved its taping from Nashville to Los Angeles. The show took on a Los Angeles vibe with special guests like Steve Martin, who was at the top of his comedic game.  The 1979 show returned to Nashville and featured appearances from Cash’s father, Ray Cash, and older brother, Roy Cash. All shows include performances by Cash, June Carter Cash and many family and industry friends. The DVD will be released by Shout! Factory and the Country Music Hall of Fame.
