HEE HAW will return to a weekly line up thanks to popular demand. “HEE HAW should be of particular interest to RFD-TV, as this classic show, by far, has been the #1 request to be added to our program line-up for the past three years,” said Patrick Gottsch, RFD-TV founder and president. HEE HAW aired for 20 years, bringing laughter into many homes every week. The show originally replaced the Smothers Brothers Show on the summer lineup. After 51 episodes, the show became syndicated and at one point was the No.1 non-network show in America.  As co-host Roy Clark put it, the show became “an American institution.” The show centered its skits on the rural country lifestyle combined with corny jokes made for family TV fun. Arguably the best part of the show was the live performances; many Country Music superstars have appeared on HEE HAW, making it not only a TV show but also a Country Music outlet. Stars that have performed on the show include George Jones, Garth Brooks, Reba McEntire and Dolly Parton. Episodes will run during the Sunday night lineup at 8pm EST and repeat on Monday mornings.  Gottsch feels that bringing back HEE HAW is a great decision. “RFD-TV is proud to announce the addition of HEE HAW to anchor our Sunday evening family-oriented programming line-up. HEE HAW and RFD-TV is a match made in heaven.”
