Country Stars To Perform On Telathon

Jerry Lewis is going to have a rockin’ telethon this year with performances by Tracy Lawrence, Bo Bice, Billy Gilman and others.   The telethon has raised more than $1 billion dollars over the past 43 years it has been running. Such big names as The Backstreet Boys and The Bee Gees have previously performed for the telethon and this year’s performances promise to be just as good. “I’ve followed the Jerry Lewis telethon my whole life. The help that the foundation provides for Muscular Dystrophy is an amazing thing. I feel blessed to have been asked to be a part of it,” said Bice. The telethon will be filmed over the Labor Day weekend and will originate from the South Point Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. The actual airing of the show will begin Sunday, Aug. 31, at 9 p.m. and run until 6:30 p.m. Monday.
