CMA MusicFest Is the Best Country Music Event I’ve Ever Seen

If you like country music even in the slightest way, you would have a great time at the 2008 CMA MusicFest. Just so happens that GooGoo Candy, Southwest Airlines, and CountryHound.com will get one lucky dog and a friend to the 4-day country music festival, free (the package is worth over $2,000)!

I experienced the event, which used to be known as Fan Fair, for the first time last year. I took some non-country fans to a few of the concerts at LP Field, and they all really liked it. But true country fans are just awestruck. Just off the top of my head we saw Martina McBride, LeAnn Rimes, Alan Jackson, Montgomery Gentry (with a special appearance by Ted Nugent), Brad Paisley, Sara Evans, and so many others that I cannot recall right now. But all of the county artists were great. The biggest stars and the hot new acts were all there.

During the day at the CMA Music Festival, you can mingle with hundreds of stars and celebrities, get all the autographs you want, some photos...it's a blast! Tons of special games and activities going on in the Fun Zone and, of course, the daily riverfront concerts. Besides the rockin' big shows at night, country fans can enjoy charming concerts with the same big stars, in a smaller venue, on the riverfront during the day. It all takes place in downtown Nashville, all around the mother church of country music, the Ryman Auditorium. At night, the action moves across the river to LP Field (the stadium where the Tennessee Titans play football), for the evening's concerts. That's where we saw all the acts mentioned above. The beverages could be cheaper though.

I highly recommend you check out this year's MusicFest. If you can't buy tickets, you at least have to visit countryhound.com and register for a chance to win.
