Billy Ray Hosting Nashville Star

2/29/2008 Stephen L. Betts Billy Ray Cyrus has announced he’s hosting the upcoming season of Nashville Star. The singer-actor broke the news on Wednesday's Tonight Show with Jay Leno. Billy Ray says this edition of the country-music competition, which will air on NBC, will be about the dream, the music, persistence and never giving up faith. Nashville Star is holding national auditions next month in four cities: Los Angeles (Mar. 8 and 9); Washington, D.C. (Mar. 14 and 15); Austin (Mar. 18 and 19); and Nashville (Mar. 21 and 22).
