Shaver is accused of shooting another patron, Billy Coker, during an argument on April 1, 2007.  Coker alleged that the shooting was unprovoked, while Shaver's attorney claimed that Coker was drunk and came at his client with a knife, resulting in Coker being shot in the cheek. He was taken to a local hospital and released shortly afterwards.Shaver is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and unlawfully carrying a handgun by a license holder on licensed premises. If convicted of both charges, the 69-year-old could face up to 30 years in prison.
