Chesney began his music career in the late 1980s while in college, moving to Nashville after graduation. The singer-songwriter performed at several downtown country bars and venues, met with song publishers on Music Row. Opryland Music Group and BMI signed contracts with the up-and-coming artist in 1992. Capricorn Records released Kenny Chesney’s debut album, In My Wildest Dreams, one year later. |
