ACM Award nominee Miranda Lambert

For the second year in a row, Miranda Lambert finds herself among some of Country Music’s biggest stars at the Annual Academy of Country Music Awards.

The 24-year-old Country Music singer from Texas is a finalist for Top Female Vocalist against Martina McBride, LeAnn Rimes, Taylor Swift and Carrie Underwood. She is also a nominee for Album of the Year for Crazy Ex-Girlfriend and Single Record of the Year for her  “Famous In A Small Town.”

"I’m a Country Music fan, and I have been forever," Lambert said on GAC’s ACM Showcase. "I have, I think, every album Martina McBride ever put out, and I used to sit by the speaker. And my dad bought me the cassette tape of Blue when it came out, and [I] tried to sing just like Leann Rimes. And now I’m actually sitting next to ‘em, in a category with them, and it’s really surreal."

The two-time CMA Horizon Award nominee, and winner of ACM’s 2007 Top New Female Vocalist award, will perform live at the ACM Awards along with Dolly Parton, Sugarland, Brooks & Dunn, Garth Brooks and many more.

The winners will be determined during the 43rd annual ACM Awards in Las Vegas on Sunday, May 18 at 8 p.m. ET.
