Country Music artist Joe Diffie helped lead his friend and cancer survivor, European Country singer Peter Dula and his band The Rowers, to a chart-topping single on the HotDisc music chart.

Diffie lends his vocals to Dula, who is battling cancer for the second time, for the toe-tapping song, “Long Gone Loner.”

"Peter and I have become friends from across the pond, and his strength in character is commendable," said Diffie. "He is struggling with cancer and fighting the good fight. Peter is a true testament of a hero."

Dula came to the U.S. from Slovakia in 1999 with dreams of playing for the NHL.  His dreams took a sharp turn when he was diagnosed with cancer.  While receiving treatment, Dula discovered a love of Country Music, and after successful treatment went on to manage and front Europe’s top Country band, The Rowers.
