Miranda Helped Blake Get ‘Home’Back To Country Music News Archive

Apparently dating a Country Music artist when you are also a Country Music artist means your mate's musical taste can affect your own.

GAC reports today that the Blake Shelton cover of Michael Buble’s "Home" might never had become a success for Shelton, had it not been for girlfriend Miranda Lambert. She copied the 2005 hit onto Shelton’s iPod without telling him.

"When I heard it, I was like, 'What is this? I didn't give her this one,'" Blake told Billboard. "Then I looked to see who was singing it and kept listening. I loved it, started singing it around, added it to my live show, and here we are — it's now on my album."

The new, deluxe version of Pure BS will be released next Tuesday, which includes Shelton's version of the song. Lambert can be heard singing background vocals on the track.
