Country Music artist Miranda Lambert helped some four-legged friends in a recent East Texas event. The First Annual Miranda Lambert "Cause for the Paws" Wine Tasting Festival and Concert was held at the Villa di Felicita in Tyler, Texas. The event raised $113,000 for the Humane Society of East Texas.

"I would like to thank Gayle Helms at the Humane Society of East Texas for inviting me to be a part of the first charity event for the shelter," Lambert wrote on her website.

The sold-out event encompassed a food/wine tasting and a concert by Miranda Lambert and special guests Blake Shelton, Adam Hood and Kacey Musgraves. A VIP private cocktail party took place before the show, was well as a silent and live auction.

"Cause for the Paws" is set to become an annual fundraiser for the Humane Society. Miranda Lambert has been a staid supporter of the East Texas shelter; she adopted her long-haired terrier, Delilah, from the shelter last year.
