Three days after alleged assault charges were filed against Country Music singer/songwriter Miranda Lambert, Lieutenant Larry Wiginton of Smith County Sheriff's Office announced all charges against Ms. Lambert have been dropped and accuser Aisha Esbay has been charged with filing a false report to a police officer.  That charge is considered a Class B misdemeanor; equivalent to jail time, a fine, or both. Esbay has been arrested and is currently being held at Smith County Jail.

 

Earlier this week Esbay filed charges accusing Lambert of physical assault while in attendence at Bootlegger's in Tyler, TX. After police spent numerous hours researching the case, Esbay's claims were found to be completely false.
