Keith's Merchandise Going "Green"Back To Country Music News Archive
2/12/2008
Stephen L. Betts

Keith Urban is turning green. The singer has partnered with Chaser Merchandise for a series of environmentally-friendly tour merchandise, including T-shirts partially made from recycled plastic bottles - known as RPET shirts.

”While I am far from the greenest guy on the block, I do look for situations where I can make even a small difference,” Keith says. “And so the idea that our concert tees could retain the same look and feel, but be partly made from recycled materials appealed greatly to me. I believe making even a small contribution like this and running our trucks on bio-diesel can make a big difference."

Keith also comments on his winning the Best Male Country Vocal Performance Grammy for “Stupid Boy,” saying, “Winning this particular Grammy in light of the crazy way last year started is all the more sweet. I am so grateful that I can hardly put it into words.”
