9/14/2007 Billboard will honor the top 20 female executives in the music industry in their second annual Women In Music issue, which will be on newsstands Oct. 5. The list will be revealed at a breakfast that morning at the Core Club in New York. Reba McEntire will deliver the keynote address and receive the first ever Billboard Woman of the Year Award. The award was established to recognize extraordinary women in the music industry who have made significant contributions to the business and who, through their hard work and continued success, inspire generations of women to take on increasing responsibilities within the field. "I am thrilled to be selected as Woman of the Year by Billboard," says Reba. "Although my career has taken me to TV, film, and Broadway, music is and always will be my first love. I am touched to be embraced in such a warm way by Billboard, and I look forward to celebrating with all the Women of the Year." Reba Duets, on which she joins forces with some of the biggest names in the industry including notable women like Kelly Clarkson, Faith Hill, Carole King, LeAnn Rimes, and Trisha Yearwood, will be in stores this Tuesday (9/18).
