Nashville, TN – Josh Turner traveled to Scotty McCreery’s hometown of Garner, N.C., on Saturday to surprise the American Idol finalist at his hometown celebration in front of over 30,000 fans. McCreery performed a few songs for the thousands of screaming fans before he sang his self-proclaimed “theme song,” “Your Man”.

Just as he was getting started, Turner walked on to the stage, completely shocking the American Idol finalist. A stunned McCreery and Turner performed “Your Man” followed by what McCreery says is his “favorite song of all time” - “Long Black Train.”

“I think he was surprised,” laughs Josh Turner. “He didn’t see me until we were almost face-to-face. I think I almost gave him a heart attack.”

Seventeen-year-old Scotty McCreery chose Josh Turner’s No. 1 hit “Your Man” to be his ticket to Hollywood during the initial American Idol auditions in Milwaukee, WI. Since then, the deep-voiced Scotty, a student at Garner High School in Garner, N.C., has performed two of Turner’s songs on the show, including "Long Black Train."

It also won an American Country Award for Single of the Year-Male in December. His last single, “All Over Me,” also reached No. 1, making him one of only seven country artists to have two No. 1 hits in 2010.
