Jason Aldean's name was called the most Wednesday when CMT's Evan Farmer announced the nominations for the 2011 CMT Music Awards live on the "Today" show.
Aldean received a total of four nominations, while Lady Antebellum, Miranda Lambert, Rascal Flatts, Taylor Swift and Zac Brown Band follow closely behind with three nominations each.
"I didn't even know they were announcing them today," Aldean said after learning about his nominations. "I started getting all these texts from people congratulating me, and I had to ask what they were so congratulating me for....It was a good way to start my day off."
Big-time winners this year at the ACMs, The Band Perry also got three nods and then performed on the show to celebrate the event.
Fans can now vote for each category online at http://CMT.com. The 2011 CMT Music Awards will broadcast live from Nashville June 8.
