9/12/2007 Stephen L. Betts Miranda Lambert has been added to the lineup of musicians honoring Elvis Presley on the upcoming ABC news special, Elvis, Viva Las Vegas, set to air next Tuesday (9/18) at 9 p.m. (ET). She’ll be performing the King’s 1957 smash, “Jailhouse Rock.” The two-hour special, which will be broadcast in high definition, examines how Elvis affected Las Vegas. Hosted by 20/20 anchor Elizabeth Vargas, the special, which was produced in cooperation with Elvis Presley Enterprises, Inc., incorporates rarely seen footage of Elvis performing in Las Vegas, and also offers revealing interviews with those closest to him. Special performances, including the previously announced collaboration of Toby Keith and Aerosmith's Joe Perry on Elvis’ early hit, “Mystery Train,” will also be featured. Singers Chris Isaak and Brandi Carlile will be performing a duet on “Love Me Tender,” filmed on the former site of the Aladdin Hotel, where Elvis and Priscilla were married. Other artists featured include Faith Hill, Willie Nelson, Paul McCartney, 50 Cent, Beyonce, Daughtry, Celine Dion, and more.
