CMT To Premiere Dixie Chicks Documentary

Dixie-Chicks-Shut-Up-and-Sing-cover

"CMT #1 Music & A Movie" will air the Dixie Chicks' 2006 documentary "Shut Up and Sing" as its next featured flick.

The documentary explores the aftermath of lead singer Natalie Maines' controversial statements of former President George W. Bush.

Once a country force to be reckoned with, the Dixie Chicks fell from fame after Maines' comment she was "ashamed that the President of the United States is from Texas."

"Shut Up and Sing" chronicles the ramifications of the statement as well as the making of the Dixie Chicks' 2006 Grammy award-winning album "Taking the Long Way."

"CMT #1 Music & A Movie" is hosted by Alecia Davis and CMT Radio Live's Cody Alan and will air "Shut Up and Sing" Saturday, March 26, at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT on CMT.
