GE has a new video contest inspired by Alan Jackson’s hit music video, “Good Time,” which shows line-dancing spreading all around the world from all different sorts of people.

The song is currently being featured in a TV commercial for GE’s ecomagination technology initiative. The contest started on February 16 and will run for two months.

To enter, fans can log onto GE’s www.youtube.com/ecomagination where they will see a video message from Jackson. The video explains the contest and then invites viewers to submit their own videos of line dancing.

The goal is to create awareness of ecomagination all while trying to create the world’s longest line dance online. For every video that is submitted, GE will donate clean, safe drinking water to people in developing countries through Charity: Water, a non-profit organization.

Fans can go online and vote for their favorite video. The contest will be narrowed down to the top 12 videos based on the number of votes and the number one video and recipient of a $10,000 GE Home Appliance Makeover will be chosen by GE.
