Good news for The Band Perry! Their self-titled debut album, released on Republic Nashville, achieved Gold certification from RIAA for sales reaching over 500,000. The album was released in October 2010 and has been holding the #7 spot on the Billboard Country Album Chart, as well as #37 on the Billboard Top 200.

“Having a Gold record is a tremendous accomplishment and to achieve that status in just under four months is even more amazing,” Nashville Republic President, Jimmy Harnen, said. “This award is yet another wonderful accolade in a spectacular year for The Band Perry.”

The country trio has now released their third single, “You Lie,” and is their fastest climber on the charts so far. It’s already landed on the Top 25 on the Billboard Hot Country songs Chart, and the new video is set to premiere at the end of February.

The two previous singles, “Hip To My Heart,” and “If I Die Young,” charted a Top 20 and landed them a #1 hit. The rising stars have received a Grammy nomination, four ACM nods, as well as a CMA nomination and three ACA nominations as well. In September, they will be joining Tim McGraw’s Emotional Traffic Tour.
