Guitar guru Steve Wariner is honoring one of his fellow Grand Ole Opry members by turning his flood-damaged guitars into works of art.

Brad Paisley's guitar will be put up for auction on May 3 in the anniversary celebration for ReTune Nashville.

ReTune Nashville was founded in May 2010 by photographer Sheri O'Neal following Nashville's May 2010 floods. The organization's mission is to aide uninsured musicians through the sale of artwork created from flood-damaged musical instruments and gear.

"I salute ReTune Nashville for leading this initiative to help my fellow musicians," said Wariner. "I'm honored that they asked me to create a piece of visual art from my good friend Brad's guitar."

Wariner’s finished product will be up for auction at ReTune Nashville on May 3 at Soundcheck. All proceeds of the guitars sales will be distributed to needy musicians through MusiCares Nashville Flood Relief and the Nashville Musicians Flood Relief Fund.
