Carrie Underwood’s hockey husband Mike Fisher was recently traded from the Ottawa Senators to the Nashville Predators, and Underwood is paying the price.

105.3 KISS FM in Ottawa, Canada, has banned Carrie Underwood songs from their station because Fisher is no longer a Senator.

The decision to ban Underwood's music was made after Fisher's trade was announced, but the move is simply a tongue-in-cheek response to the hockey star's leaving.

"We (thought we) got to have some fun with this," said Gayle Zarbatany, the station's program director. "How can we have some fun with Mike Fisher leaving?"

Even before the ban, the pop station didn't play Underwood's music.

"Here's the deal, the reaction we're getting is mainly outside of Ottawa because they don't know our radio station," said Zarbatany. "We're a Lady Gaga, Black Eyed Peas, Katy Perry, Ke$ha, Pink station."

The news of the radio station’s ban became widely known after celebrity gossip and news provider Perez Hilton made an announcement on his widely popular blog. Some followers commented that they would no longer listen to the station.

The bright side? Ottawa's Y101 station plays Underwood's music all the time.
