Taylor Swift Awarded 'Heavy Metal' at Nashville Party

Taylor Swift is on top of the world.
 
And she and her label Big Machine Records celebrated her many accomplishments during a “Heavy Metal at the Hard Rock” party on Jan. 28 in downtown Nashville.
 
Among countless other accolades, the gathering applauded Swift's No. 1 single "Mine" and her "million-in-a-week" sales of her latest, now Triple Platinum album "Speak Now."
 
"I got to make a really personal record this time around, and the last time around and the time before that," Swift said. "But I think this is the most personal album that I've made so far, and being able to make personal music allows me to have a really personal relationship with my fans."
 
The top selling digital artist in music history also mentioned she looks forward to meeting more of her fans on her upcoming 90 show, 19 country "Speak Now 2011 World Tour," kicking off in Singapore on Feb. 9.
 
"I've been brushing up on my Japanese, Korean, Italian, Spanish, German and French for talking to the crowd in between songs, and I'm really excited about it," she said.
 
Swift was also was the highest selling artist for the second time in three years with more than 4.4 million albums sold in 2010, according to Billboard and Nielsen SoundScan.
 
"We get to do this because of the people in this room," said Swift. "I love this town. I love this beautiful industry, and I love that you showed up for us tonight. Thank you, I love you and I'm having so much fun. Thank you for being the reason we get to."
