Brad Paisley's Upcoming Album To Be Star Lit

Brad Paisley may not be the biggest star on his upcoming album.

The country singer has recruited some big names in country music and beyond to contribute to his eighth studio album, “This is Country Music,” set to hit stores April 19.

Paisley said going beyond the spectrum of country music will help make this album special.

“I’m trying to do something brand-new, utilizing the influences who made me who I am as a country artist,” he told Billboard. “Some of them, surprisingly, are not necessarily right within country music, but they’re more important to the modern incarnation than you might think.”

Paisley said Eagles’ legend, Don Henley, is set to sing background on a track that “feels like something that either he would have written or the Eagles would have done.”

Members of Alabama are also set to contribute to a track. Marty Stuart, Sheryl Crow and Carl Jackson are also included in the recordings, and Hollywood icon Clint Eastwood is even set to help on an instrumental track.
