The Grascals 'I Am Strong' Video Debuts

The-Grascals-at-St-Jude-2011
A new music video by The Grascals premiered on Great American Country and The Country Network this week.

The emotionally driven “I Am Strong” is featured on "The Grascals & Friends - Country Classics With A Bluegrass Spin."

The video features country music icon Dolly Parton and was written by Grascals member Jamie Johnson, wife Susanne Mumpower-Johnson and close friend Jenee Fleenor.

The song's inspiration came from a visit to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital where The Grascals heard the true-life stories of children battling life-threatening diseases. The video was filmed at the leading children's cancer hospital in Memphis, and several St. Jude patients are shown throughout.

"The bottom line and the whole point of the video was to convey the song's message," Johnson said.  "We didn't want to take anything away from the children or their stories, and I think we stayed true to that."

A portion of song's proceeds will be donated to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
