9/5/2007 Stephen L. Betts Country music’s two best-selling new male artists of 2007 are teaming up for the Raisin’ the Bar concert tour. Bucky Covington and Jason Michael Carroll will be joined by special guest Cole Deggs & The Lonesome on the tour which begin Oct. 25 in Corpus Christi. The Raisin’ the Bar tour will include 19 dates from Texas to New York before wrapping up on Dec. 8 in Baltimore. Jason Michael Carroll’s debut album, Waitin’ in the Country, exploded onto Billboard’'s Top Country Albums chart at No. 1 in its first week, with back-to-back hits, the Top 5 “Alyssa Lies” and the current “Livin’ Our Love Song.” "Alyssa Lies” made music history when it entered Billboard’s Digital Song chart with the highest first-week sales of any debut country artist since the inception of the chart. Bucky Covington is 2007’s best-selling debut country artist. His self-titled CD entered the Billboard’ Top Country Albums chart with not only 2007’s biggest unit debut from a new country artist, but also the best first week sales and highest Top 200 debut for any new male country artist since Billy Ray Cyrus in 1992.
