Rascal Flatts Honored on Grand Ole Opry Stage

Nashville Mayor Karl Dean honored Gary LeVox, Jay DeMarcus and Joe Don Rooney of Rascal Flatts on the Grand Ole Opry stage Tuesday night for their service to the Nashville community.

“This is such a privilege to be here tonight to thank you in person for all that you do for the community and for the children in this city,” said Mayor Dean.

The best-selling and most awarded group of the decade have long been involved in several Nashville charities, including the Jason Foundation and the Monroe Carell, Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt.

“Thank you so much, Mayor,” said DeMarcus. “We love calling Nashville home and thank everyone in this city who have helped us help the community and for being a part of our career.”

The trio has also received the “Shining Star Award” from the Make-A-Wish Foundation and the Harmony Award presented by the Nashville Symphony.

Rascal Flatts’ new release on Big Machine Records, Nothing Like This, recently debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Country Albums chart.
