LeAnn Rimes Addresses "Crazy Women" in New Single

LeAnn Rimes

In her nearly 15-year career, Country songstress LeAnn Rimes has sung about “Blue” moments and times when she’s had “Nothin’ Better To Do.” Now, the Grammy-award winner is addressing some “Crazy Women” in her new single, to be released digitally Dec. 12.
The track is featured as a bonus tune on Rimes’ new album, Lady and Gentlemen, an album covering classics by some of Country’s leading men, including Waylon Jennings, George Jones and Merle Haggard.
“This album was born out of when I first fell in love with Country Music, and I realized that almost all of my favorite songs were sung by men,” said Rimes. “I am honored to take a step back in time and sing these songs from a woman’s perspective and hopefully help reintroduce them to a new audience.”
Rimes describes “Crazy Women” as “a fun song to sing along and laugh with.”
“After completing this album of songs by some of the most infamous men in Country Music to drive women crazy in love, I thought this song was a perfect addition to the album,” she said.
Lady and Gentlemen will also feature a remake of Rimes’ 1993 smash, “Blue.”
“I have been performing the song for years,” said Rimes. “It’s become a classic that people love just as much as I do, so it felt natural to remake the song for this album that covers Country classics.”
The album’s first single, “Swingin’,” which Rimes released earlier this year, has earned the multi-platinum artist a Grammy nod for Best Female Country Vocal Performance.
“Crazy Women” will be digitally released Dec. 21, and Lady and Gentlemen will hit stores everywhere in early 2011.
