Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman Rate Awards Shows

Keith-Urban-Nicole-Kidman-CMA-2008
Keith Urban and his wife, actress Nicole Kidman, are no strangers to the red carpet. In fact, some might even call them pros for attending film and Country Music awards. However, Kidman did say she had a favorite awards show, and as a Hollywood veteran her choice was surprising.

"The CMAs are the most fun of any award shows," Nicole tells the hosts of ABC's 'The View.' "It's a community down there [in Nashville]. Most people that are in the country music sort of industry live in Nashville. They all know each other, and it's just very tight and very supportive."

Urban attended the Grammys this year and won the award for Best Male Country Performance for his hit "Sweet Thing." He also had the honor of presenting the award for Best New Artist to the Zac Brown Band.

"That was a great moment," Keith tells The Boot. "The Grammys are about recognizing genres that are making an impact. Country is truly doing that."

Although the pair enjoys red carpet events, there is one aspect Urban is not a fan of.

"You can go from one person asking you what you're wearing to the next person asking you about the situation in Haiti,” says Keith. “It's the extreme juxtaposition, and some of the questions can throw me! There's limited time and lots of people to talk to ... and I'm not a fan of interviews. I like just having a chat, like we're doing right now, when we're not being pushed and pulled by people."

On Monday, Keith and Nicole attended the first-ever American Country Awards, where he received a nomination for Male Artist of the Year.
