Haggard Honored By Celebrity Peers at Kennedy Center Honors

Merle Haggard was recently honored by several of his fellow Country stars on Dec. 5 at the Kennedy Center Honors in Washington D.C. for his contributions to American culture, CMT.com reported.
 
Kris Kristofferson joined Miranda Lambert to perform a duet of “Silver Wings,” Willie Nelson joined Sheryl Crow performd “Today I Started Loving You Again," Vince Gill and Brad Paisley performed “Workin’ Man Blues” and Jamey Johnson joined Kid Rock to give a performance of “Ramblin’ Fever.”
 
The event also took time to give recognition to Jerry Herman, Bill T. Jones, Paul McCartney and Oprah Winfrey.
 
CBS will air the event on Dec. 28.
