The-Band-Perry
Newcomers The Band Perry are getting a lot of attention these days, and the recent spike in media coverage is also causing an increase in sales for the trio.

After a performance of their current single, “If I Die Young,” on the 44th Annual CMA Awards, the group saw a six percent increase in sales of their self-titled debut album, while the single saw a 39 percent increase in sales.

The Gold-certified “If I Die Young” is reaching Platinum status as it nears sales of one million, and the hit song’s music video is nearing 10 million views on YouTube.

In addition to their performance at the CMA Awards, the band was nominated for Vocal Group of the Year, but the trophy went to Lady Antebellum.

“We were the rookies last week,” said lead singer Kimberly Perry. “It was our first nomination, our first time attending the CMAs. So we were just happy to be in the game. We're thrilled for Lady A, who's had an amazing year. It was great to be considered and great to share our music with everyone that night.”

The trio of siblings released their self-titled album on Oct. 12, and it currently sits at No. 11 on the Billboard Country Albums chart after peeking at No. 2.

The Band Perry will appear at the American Music Awards Sunday, Nov. 21, the American Country Awards on Monday, Dec. 6, and ABC’s The View on Wednesday, Dec. 15.
