CMT Counts Down 40 Greatest Songs of the Decade

Alan Jackson’s 2001 hit, “Where Were You (When the World Stopped Turning),” is the greatest song of the decade, according to a list of the 40 Greatest Songs of the Decade released by CMT.
 
Jackson debut the hit at the 2001 CMA Awards and won a Grammy Award for the single that spent five weeks at theNo. 1 spot in 2002.
